Good news! Discount summer vacations do exist! If you are interested in taking a summer vacation but are concerned with the cost, you are not alone. A large number of individuals and families want to take a summer vacation, but, due to the cost, many are unable to do so. What many individuals and families don’t consider are discount summer vacations. I know it seems like discount summer vacations are a myth, but with a little legwork, you can save money on a summer vacation.

Discount summer vacations do exist, they are not a myth, Some people don’t believe it’s possible to save money on travel, but really it’s not that hard. As they say, work smarter, not harder! If they do believe that discount vacations exist, many assume they are only to low-quality destinations. If you are interested in taking a summer vacation, you are encouraged don’t believe this popular myth.

As I’ve said, finding discounted summer vacations just takes a little bit of research. Once you start looking, you will likely see that discount summer vacations are obtainable, for even the most popular summer vacation destinations.
Vacation Packages
Vacation destination packages are one of the most popular ways that you or your family can save money when taking a summer vacation. These packages are most often available through a resort, theme park, golf resorts, beach resorts, and all around the world. These packages are usually considered all-inclusive or they may just cover a number of vacation accommodations. Using a travel agent is a good way to find vacation packages, but you can also book them yourself.
Disney, Legoland, Great Wolf Lodge, and many more offer packages for park admission and hotel rooms. If you look at the final number you probably will think I’ve lost my mind saying these are discounted, but if you go back and you add all the items in the vacation package separately you will see there is a built-in discount for packages.
Getting Lured In
This time getting lured in is not a bad thing. Be wise, and make sure what you are opting in for before confirming, but if you are using a travel agent you shouldn’t have any problem. If you are self-booking your family vacation be mindful that vacation destinations may offer discounts for younger children traveling with you. Many hotels do not charge for children under 17. This discount may convey to restaurants, shows, and other amenities offered. The cost of a family discount will depend on the destination. However large or small the discount, many families enjoy saving money.
Online Coupons
Groupon.
Groupon has a great travel coupon section. You can find all-inclusive packages as well as single travel services, such as hotel, airline, and activities. Most of Groupon’s travel deals have date ranges that work well for anyone.
Online coupons are a great way to obtain a discount on your next summer vacation. Websites like Travel Coupons have discounts if you book through their service. If you find a deal online take the time to call the business and see if they offer a discount for direct booking. Since sites like Travel Coupons, Expedia, Orbitz, and others are third-party apps, you may get a better deal by calling the business directly. It isn’t always true, but it’s certainly worth a phone call.
Most internet users have the option of requesting a coupon booklet. These little booklets can be so valuable. They have hotels, attractions, restaurants and so much more. Some of these publishers have online coupons as well so you don’t have to have the physical book.

The only downside to using paper coupons is that you must remember to take them with you. I always forget something when packing for vacation, so make a list and be sure and put coupons on it! If you don’t have those coupons you will have to pay full price for all of your services.

Online coupons are my personal preference. I just save the coupon to my phone and as long as I have my phone I have the coupon. Many businesses are offering online coupons to save paper and to make it easier for customers.

Using a city pass offers you flexibility and saves you money, and allows you to see the best of the city you are visiting.
